When we were first invited to take part in WOW!house 2025, mine and Aaron’s immediate response was sheer excitement. WOW!house is one of the most thrilling platforms in the industry: a space for storytelling, creativity, and community. We felt honoured to be invited, and even more so to be able to contribute something that truly pushes the boundaries of what we do.

This year the timing felt serendipitous. With the design world celebrating 100 years since Art Deco’s debut at the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs, it felt only right to reimagine this iconic era through our lens. Our room is titled ‘Revival: Reimagining Art Deco on its Centenary’ and it’s one of the boldest spaces we’ve ever created.

The origins of our concept began in conversation with the team at Samuel Heath where we discussed ideas for a new tap collection that felt both original and necessary in today’s market. One idea was Art Deco, and it instantly resonated. From that moment, we began building the entire room around a singular question: how could we revive the glamour, geometry, and decorative precision of Deco through the lens of elevated, contemporary Laura Hammett Living luxury?
The answer: a richly immersive bathroom that nods to the past while feeling rooted in the present. It’s a decadent sanctuary, layered in bold jewel tones, geometric motifs, highly stylised forms and dramatic silhouettes. We wanted the mood to be quietly opulent, a retreat where every detail invites you in to look closer, feel texture and sense craft. Where nothing shouts but everything speaks.

This bathroom represents a beautiful duality: husband and wife, family and business, the bold and the understated, organic and architectural. Just like Art Deco itself - a pastiche of influences and eras - this space is designed to feel boundless in possibility.
At its heart is a sculptural, marble-clad double vanity unit, the first piece you encounter upon entering the room. Flanking this centrepiece, we’ve placed a marble bathtub and double shower, each nestled into cocooning alcoves. The symmetry brings a calm rhythm to the space, but there’s always an element of surprise - be it in the lighting, the layering, or the materials.

We imagined somebody sophisticated living here - an art lover, drawn to craft. A person who might sip champagne at the vanity while appreciating a chamfered corner or the way light hits a veined marble. The entire space is built around that mindset: curiosity, indulgence, intentionality.
While we’re known for refined, timeless interiors, the brassware collaboration with Samuel Heath gave us a rare opportunity to lead with something truly sculptural. In fact, the tap became the very foundation of our room design.
Perhaps most excitingly, the lighting plan was created in-house by Aaron and our interior architecture team - masterfully layering light to enhance every texture and moment in the room.

Crafted from solid brass and brought to life through CNC machining, electroplating and hand-polishing, the final piece showcases stepped profiles, bold lines, and chamfered detailing. We worked closely with Samuel Heath’s design engineers to finesse every angle, every proportion - even tweaking the spout design by just 2mm to perfect its relationship to the lever. It’s functional but undeniably sculptural. It’s a piece of jewellery in the room.
What makes it even more special is the finish. Together, we developed a brand-new ‘Vintage Bronze’, which captures the aged beauty of timeworn brass with modern precision. To achieve the lived-in feel we envisioned, every edge of every component was individually hand-relieved - meaning no two taps are exactly alike. It’s an extraordinary example of British craftsmanship, and one that quietly anchors the entire narrative of the space.

WOW!house 2025 gave us the rare chance to create without compromise. In our residential work, there are always practical constraints - budget, space, daily function. But here, we could experiment with scale, texture, proportion and colour in a way that’s not just visually exciting, but emotionally resonant. To make a space that stirs conversation. That leaves an impression.
For me personally, this project also touches something deeper. My mother is an artist, and I’ve always felt connected to that spirit - of making something that moves people. This room is our form of art. A composition of materials, memory, and imagination.
We’re proud to have contributed a space that reflects not just the glamour of Deco, but the values we hold dear: material excellence, thoughtful innovation, and a belief that beauty is found in the finest of details.
From hand-blown glass chandeliers to hand-applied Perlata finishes, this space is a love letter to materiality. Every brand we’ve brought in was chosen not just for aesthetics, but for what they stand for.
