In creating the Modern Heritage Collection, I wanted to craft something that celebrates the art of blending traditional design with contemporary appeal. For me, this collection is all about fusing classic elegance with the functionality needed in modern living spaces.
Each piece marries the grandeur of the past with the practicalities of today, all inspired by one of my interior design projects— a beautiful period townhouse in the heart of Chelsea, London. The project served as my muse, with each piece steeped in quintessentially British design and drawing on the kind of heirloom antiques that have such a rich story to tell.
What I love about the Modern Heritage Collection is that it brings together impeccable craftsmanship and those little details that make all the difference.. The delicate fringing and embroidered trims on pieces like the Lansdown Armchair add refined details, while materials like burnished walnut on the Pembroke Console and hand-stitched leather edge detailing on the Halton Game Table bring each piece a sense of warmth and enduring appeal.
These subtle touches were integral to creating something luxurious yet understated - pieces that look just as beautiful in a traditional space as they do in a modern setting.
But for me, the true heart of the Modern Heritage Collection lies in its fusion of traditional materials with modern innovation. The antiqued brass and marble accents give a nod to history, while the thoughtful inclusion of modern finishes ensures each piece is both functional and beautiful.
